Title: Step Block with Mason's Mark

Description: Bottom step block. All surfaces preserved with anathyrosis on both ends. Top surface smooth with setting line 0.395m. from front surface.
For a distance of 0.330m. from front surface we have a raised area 0.013m. from finished top surface across block. This, and anathyrosis, suggests its original intention.
Front surface smooth picked with drafting all around. Cuttings for H-clamps. Pry and dowel cuttings in back.
Mason's mark: Ε Γ Γ.
Pentelic marble.
Assigned to the Temple of Ares.
