Description: Broken at both left and right hand ends. One of several step blocks from Square Peristyle building reused for retaining wall in forecourt of Royal Stoa. Set upright, resting on its back face; most of top and bottom surfaces exposed. Much worn except for bottom of block which displays raised roughened surface along forward portion of block; ca. 0.15m. along rear edge and entire bottom surface for a length of about 0.20m. worked smooth with tooth-chisel.
Hard travertine-like limestone.

Context: Near N.E. corner of north porch of Royal Stoa. Third block from west in a group of three similar blocks.
