Title: Stylobate Fragment

Description: A fragment from the middle of the top block. An arc of a setting line for an Ionic base is preserved on top. Close behind the line of the base, a cutting for a rectangular post. The cutting, broken away below, slopes on one side as in a classical lewis cutting. Traces of much traffic even after removal of post.
Probably from Hellenistic Porch of New Bouleuterion.
Pentelic marble.
Context: From a marble dump at S.W. corner of Hellenistic Metroon.
