On the inside an inscription; perhaps an ostrakon.
On inside, good black glaze; on underside, black circles on a polished ground.

ADDENDA According to E. Vanderpool (Hesperia Suppl. 8 ) and to M. Lang (Agora XXV) this is an ostrakon from a shallow skyphos with the inscription:
"Μ Ε Λ Α Ν [Θ Ι Ο Σ]
Φ Α Λ Α Ν [Θ Ο Σ]"
