| Description: | About half the vase preserved, and both handles, but without direct joins. Glaze used inside and out as on P 3885 and P 3886. Ornamented bands thus: double palmettes alternately with circles; 'metopes' with a dot in each; debased maeander; tongues, dots, rays. Purple inside for at least two bands, outside for a band below palmettes. Outside below the palmettes, and inside right to the top, both clay and glaze are baked to a dull purple tone. | |
