Description:   Small head, broken off at about middle of neck; a large chip missing from chin and lower right cheek.
Coarsely worked head, probably Aphrodite. Her hair, which shows free use of drill, is tied in a loose topknot at the crown of the head, and a projecting bun behind.
Pentelic marble.
Now joined to S 1536.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Cistern, strosis III, 4th century A.D. context, with S1077 (ΛΛ 1260).
