| Description: | Broken at right. Back point-dressed, front and sides smoothed. In underside a round dowel hole which connects with a round pour hole in back. Left corner of a low pediment framed above and below by ovolo and taenia. Corner akroterion shape suggests a painted half-palmette. Lower ovolo continues around corner. Carefully finished surface suggests mid 5th century. Perhaps from a votive stele. Pentelic marble. Cf. Hesperia 61 (1992), p. 248, n. 44. | |
