Title:   Statuette of Aphrodite

Description:   Head and right arm with right flank broken off. Broken above feet but with parts of two dowel holes in lower break. Brown encrustation and traces of mortar. Sketched with chisel only.
Leaning Aphrodite wearing thin, high-girt chiton slipping off right shoulder but covering breasts. Himation draped over left shoulder, slung low over front of body and held up by left arm, which rests with bent elbow on a rectangular pillar. Right hand was on hip, ends of fingers preserved. Exaggerated late Hellenistic proportions.
Pentelic marble.
