Title:   Statuette Head: Aphrodite

Description:   Small head preserved to the base of the neck where it is finished off with a small dowel hole for attachment of the body.
The figure inclines slightly to the left. At each ear are two small connecting holes, with a strut of marble between them, for the attachment of earrings. The hair is parted in the middle and drawn down into a projection knot at the back. Behind the roll of hair in the front rises a sort of coronet with scalloped edges.
