The letters are not very carefully cut in the hard poros, and have suffered much from weathering, and still more perhaps from the activities of the later builders: the valerian wall posibly; the Bastion of Odysseus, certainly ended against the earlier bastion just at this point.

Tall stele with cavetto capital the face of which has a sculpted relief with ... 26 May 1972 ... Despite weathering on the surface of the shaft, ruled lines for the inscription are clearly visible.
