What survived was the south and east section of the original grave, including a strip of the pyre trench, reddened from burning to a depth of 0.05m, and below it a shallow urn-hole, roughly square, ca. 0.60m to the side, cut through earth almost to the level of bedrock, to a depth of about 0.30m.
