Two non-joining fragments of molded wall socle. a) Top, bottom and front preserved; left end broken; right end and back worked down with single point probably in late times. In top a trace of a pour channel ... July 1948 ... Probably to be assigned to the Odeion, to surround the interior of the auditorium at level of top of seats. Molding consists of cymatium with ovolo above and fascia below.

Marble workers outside Stoa of Eumenes. Since the second World War, Professor A. Orlandos has been working on the restoration of the interior of the Odeion of Herodes. The stage-front and orchestra floor ... Sheet 18 Horizontal (normal) ... 1950 ... The stage-front and orchestra floor have been rebuilt and the broken seats are gradually being pieced out with new marble.

The southwest corner, lying in Section Μ, was excavated in 1934 and the rest of the ... 2 Apr-27 Jun 1935 ... Excavation revealed a marble orchestra floor, bedrock cuttings for the lower seats of the cavea and the bedrock foundations for a stage.
