Relief contour for profiles and napes; some brown inner drawing; white, yellowed over, for the ribbon which ties Apollos' wreath, and for the berries on the laurel spray. ... No contours. Laurel wreath on rim; egg and dot around handles; double palmette ornament between handles and beneath; lower border, on A, dotted checkerboards; on B, dotted X-squares.

Much of the glaze fired brownish; flaked in many places; abraded on torus ... Ca. 440-430 B.C ... Fragment a preserves some of the rays at the bottom of the lebes, then the three bands of ornament at the top of the stand (egg and dart, double lotus-palmette chain, a laurel wreath to right with berries) and the upper part of the figured decoration. What remains is the wreathed and filleted head of a bearded man to left, the fillet overlapping the wreath. Above his head: In front of him: The front edge of Skeparnos' wreath appears at the far left just at the break. ... Above, part of the laurel wreath and the leaf of a lotus.
