Pocket in bedrock 35/Ε. The filling consisting chiefly of coarse ware and roof tiles; some of the material Archaic, but the deposit as late as the mid-5th c. B.C ... Ca. 500-450 B.C.
Cistern at 79/Γ (= 80/Δ) on lower north slope of the Areopagus. Filling of 2nd c. B.C. with some later intrusions (Turkish pottery indicates disturbance).

Located in the NE corner of the early peribolos. Probably originally 1.00-1.50m. deeper, the bedrock above having been cut back in late times. Scanty pottery remains; some evidence for a period of use ... Ca. 600-570 B.C.
