| Description: Lower part of "Telesphoros" lamp. Back left plain, with a little of lower part preserved. Figure broken at ankles and a little below the neck; nozzle also broken away. Figure muffled in cloak, with opening down front, reaching nearly to wick hole, sewed up, showing stiches. A swelling, perhaps hands clasped under cloak, shows just above the hole for the nozzle. Pinkish-buff slip. Pinkish clay, very micaceous. |
